1st recording...Nate abused alcohol, it was the source of his “ numbingness “ for boredom. He spent time in counseling and therapy, claims he was sexually abused at aged 5 and 10, and was ‘plagued by Pornography and “ sexual sins “ .
He seems to have been affected by some serious mental issues as he grew up
2nd recording...Nate states he has been constantly re-traumatized or retriggered through out his life. He seems to blame the sins of his Father and Grandfather. He seems very confused, mumbling around.
3rd recording...Nate admits having a sexual affair with an employee who was his assistant, is that illegal? It is definitely not acceptable for any elected Texas state official, it is a very serious violation of Texas state policy.
4th recording…Nate said that he was looking at pornography again while he was in the ministry? Nate was working in the ministry while he was addicted to pornography? Who was Nate administering to? Nate says because of all the struggles he had in his life he became a master of “ image management “. That definitely raises an important question:
Who is Nate Sheets? The image he shows in public or someone he hides away? The Texas Department of Agriculture is not a small honey business, the TDA is a serious global business, the Commissioner has to manage it.
I believe Nate states he was the “ evangelist guy “ at the church. An evangelist addicted to porn evangelizing to who? Nate said he felt isolated at the church and Nate Sheets admits that he was not transparent with the members of the church where he was “ the evangelist guy “….wow that is a hard admission but does indicate that maybe Nate is not ready to take on the pressure of managing a huge department that is spread out all over Texas, border to border.
I hope Nate and his wife have navigated through all of his issues and are able to be happy together.
5th recording... In Nate’s own words as the pressures of life started closing in around him Nate drowned the pressures with more alcohol and more porn. I am not being mean, the question has to be asked, Is Nate able to manage the pressures of leading the TDA? We cannot afford our TDA Commissioner to be on job training for a year. TDA is a global operation, the GoTexan label is growing all around the globe promoting Texas.
Seriously, what experience does Nate have at such a high State Government level? In addition to managing the TDA with his staff Sid is constantly surrounded with political drama and the back stabbers. My words not Sid’s.
6th recording...I guess Nate realized he needed help, he could not help himself without group intervention.
Listen to the recordings, I think Nate should have run for a smaller office like a Texas State Representative, he has no legislative experience, has he ever testified in front of the House or Senate? Has Nate ever offered legislation, especially about all those farms Nate claims we have lost. Did Nate lobby for the help our Texas farmers and ranchers need?
Did Nate just sit on the sidelines while complaining? Be part of the solution not the problem.
